This excellent pizza continues to show that every rising crust frozen pizza that’s not made by DiGiorno is really good. Seriously I don’t know why DiGiorno is so bad, but it is. This one’s great though!

Digiorno Stuffed Crust Pepperoni… again
I had to try it again. I desperately want there to be a good stuffed crust frozen pizza, but there just isn’t one. This one just won’t turn out right no matter how I bake it, so I think I’m just giving up on Digiorno :/
Digiorno Thin Crust Four Meat
It’s not bad!
This is the first Digiorno pizza I’ve had that actually seemed to bake right following the directions. The crust leaves a bit to be desired, and is much thicker than an Italian-style thin-crust, but overall this is a pretty good pizza. There’re plenty of toppings and just the right amount of cheese and sauce.
Totinos Party Pizza
To conclude my cheap frozen pizza fun, I decided to end with the Totinos Party Pizza. It’s the best selling pizza for around a dollar you can get, and for good reason. While it definitely tastes cheap, it’s surprisingly good for it’s price. It’s actually one of the best sub-$5 pizzas I’ve had, and I’ll likely buy more.
The crust is somewhat thin, but not so much that it gets too crispy, and while the cheese and toppings are a bit lacking in quantity, it has a great overall taste. They’ve done a great job getting the best possible pizza out of the simple ingredients.
California Pizza Kitchen – Sicilian Recipe
California Pizza Kitchen recently redesigned their frozen pizza boxes so I thought there was a chance the pizzas changed too. This one was exactly the same as the last Sicilian Recipe as far as I can tell. Sadly though, I’ve had a very hard time finding the Signature Pepperoni, which is a bit sad since it’s my favorite frozen pizza ever. I’m really hoping they didn’t discontinue it…
Jack’s Thin Crust Pepperoni
Continuing my adventures with cheap frozen pizzas, I tried Jack’s Thin Crust Pepperoni.
This isn’t a bad pizza, but it definitely tastes cheap. For $2-3, it’s a decent size, but the flavor is quite bland. Overall not terrible, but, as always, you get what you pay for.
Tony’s Meat-Trio
At a first glance, this pizza looked very similar to the Red Baron Classic Crust. They recommend baking it directly on the rack, which has never worked great with the Red Barons in my experience, but I decided to give it a try with this one. It turned out pretty good! The crust is maybe a bit dry for my preference, but that’s typical when baking a pizza directly on the rack.
Overall, this is a great pizza. It’s nothing special, but it’s the perfect average pepperoni pizza, which most of the time is exactly what I want.
Sam’s Choice Rising Crust Three Meat
Tonight’s pizza is a Sam’s Choice Rising Crust Three Meat. With how good the Freschetta rising crust was, I figured I’d try another new brand’s rising crust.
This one’s a pretty good pizza, but not as good as the Freschetta. The ingredients are fairly good quality, but the crust is a bit too dry for how thick it is. It’s a bit low on cheese, which I think could add a lot to the pizza overall.
Digiornio Thin & Crispy Three Meat
I decided to try a different thin crust pizza today. Digiorno’s rising crust has failed me the last few times, so I figured maybe this one would be different. It was!
Overall, this is a pretty good pizza. The crust isn’t fantastic, but it’s not bad. The toppings are fairly good quality and there’s a bit of variety. The basil is slightly overdone, but not bad.
This certainly won’t replace the California Pizza Kitchen frozen pizzas for my favorite thin crust pizza, but it’s one of the better ones I’ve had.
PPC and Red Baron Brick Oven Crust
We went to Pizza Pie Cafe in Highland, UT again today. We tried to go yesterday, but it was unusually crowded, so we got Popeye’s instead. Good chicken. PPC’s current pizza of the month is a brownie-type-thing that’s not too bad. Last month’s was a really Valentine’s-themed good sugar cookie. Likely my favorite food at Pizza Pie Cafe are the cheese sticks. Today’s were all right, but not great. The amount of cheese has to be just right for them to really be amazing, and there was a noticeable lack of cheese on the cheese sticks this time around.
Dinner was a Red Baron brick oven crust three-meat pizza again. These are really incredibly good. I don’t know what they do to the brick oven crusts, but they have so much flavor… it’s really a great pizza. It had an unusually large amount of ham this time, but it was still really good.
This post was incredibly rambly. I think I need more sleep. Probably more pizza too.
